Alex Zakkas, 1981, GR/NL

works with any media unstable enough to observe the synthetic environments where contemporary life plays out; its designed or wild-grown entanglements with technology; forms of power and affect fluctuating to the rhythm of ill-defined rules; opportunistic workarounds and suboptimal techno-poetic acrobatics. All projects are collaborations in one way or another, either with other makers or with the audiences they engage. Some have taken place in the context of artistic research, others are applied design cases.
