Speak Softly and Carry a Big Stick

The book follows a process of questioning to what extent can user experiences be designed. Sticks are used as objects-in-question in staged lab and field experiments that simulate a series hypotheses.

It is made in the context of a research residency at the Delft Institute of Positive Design.

It is designed by Martino Morandi. The few special copies with cyanotype covers are hand-made by Lieselot Versteeg. Video and photography in collaboration with Jasmin Peco. It was stencil-printed at Roofdruk, Amsterdam in July 2013 and glue-binded at Extrapool, Nijmegen.
It contains 112 pages of which 12 are in color.
